When you’ve been in business for a decade, sometimes you think you know who you are. But maybe you don’t. Or maybe you do, but you don’t say it well.

So recently, we hired a branding expert to help us answer the question: “Just who is Avid anyway?”
After interviewing a slew of current (and a few former) clients and our staff, this is what they came up with:
We’re one of the little guys–a small business. Just like you. Not because of our number of employees or total revenue. But because of how we think. We’re not satisfied with the way things have always been. In fact, innovation and new ideas never come from doing things the same way.
We realize we’re not for everyone. And that’s okay. Because if you want complicated, constraining contracts, we’re not for you. If you want slow, impersonal, one-size-fits-all products and service, we’re not for you. If you want to pay more for slower, lesser quality telecommunications, we’re not for you.
We believe in high quality voice and data solutions. We believe in accessible, personal and expert service. We believe in keeping things simple and straightforward. We believe in letting you get to the business of running your business.
We’re here for you so you can mind your own business.
In the end, we loved it. And we didn’t change a word even though the last sentence left some of us squirming in our seats!
