PRI Circuits Available Over Google Fiber Connections

For larger businesses, PRI (primary rate interface) connections have been the workhorse for voice telecommunications for over a quarter century. A PRI can carry 23 simultaneous voice conversations. While some of the larger on-site phone systems now support the more modern SIP trunk interfaces, the PRI remains important for many businesses.

Avid is the only provider offering PRI connections over Google Fiber.

Early in Google Fiber’s commercial rollout, Avid established a direct network connection to Google Fiber and its engineers began testing equipment required to deliver PRIs over Google Fiber. The result has been a rock-solid PRI service operating over Google’s inexpensive gigabit service.

Our sales force continuously encounters people who are unaware that such a mainstream service can run on Google Fiber. In fact, there is no service Avid provides that we can’t deliver via Google Fiber.
