To Sell Us, Is to Know Us: The First Avid Agent Open House

Recently, I wrote an article discussing Avid’s Agent Program and the great opportunities we receive by partnering with these individuals. They bring us many of our valuable customers!
Avid’s First Ever Agent Open House
Last week, we hosted our first Agent Open House at our office. This event was implemented through the efforts of our Agent Manager, Laren Landgren, and Taylor Cates, Director of Sales. Because agents are on the go and incredibly busy, they might be limited to email, brief phone calls, and client meetings when working with Laren and the other Account Executives.
The open house was organized in order to give our agents, whether veterans or newly on board, a chance to see our office and learn more about the products and services Avid offers. Our goal was to help the agents better understand what Avid is all about, and be able to confidently relay how we can help to their clients.
Laren and one of the managing partners, David Hollingsworth, gave a presentation highlighting the qualities of Avid that we believe set us apart from other industry carriers. Additionally, it gave the agents the ability to meet the staff and provide us beneficial feedback on what products or features their client bases are needing in the rapidly evolving/demanding business VoIP and data front.
Attended by eighteen agents, representing fifteen different IT companies, we had a wonderful time networking with one another over wine, beer, and appetizers catered in by Avid customer, Cupini’s. This event also debuted a glass tumbler, complete with the Avid logo, something we were all excited to take home!
In the future, we plan to implement more agent focused events to show our appreciation for the work they do to bring us new customers.
