Over the years, most of our clients have chosen Avid as, first and foremost, their phone company. And while we will always strive to be the best phone company, there is so much more to the Avid story these days. One thing in particular seems to have remained largely a secret: our ability to integrate our services with our client’s major applications.
Application Integration Example for an Insurance Company
A major insurance services organization had long been looking to integrate a contact center solution with its core customer records system–something that would greatly improve their customer service productivity. Their problem: their compliance requirements were complex. They had tried to engage with several telecom providers to get this done but those efforts went nowhere.
When they finally found us, we were able to assess their requirements and come up with a solution that was implemented in less than two months. How was this possible?
- First, we already had a set of basic integration capabilities that could be put to use.
- Second, we had a multi-disciplinary team that was quickly convened and determined that what they were seeking was possible.
- Third, we quickly rolled the basic capabilities into a customized integration solution that precisely met the requirement, and the programming required was turned around in a matter of days.
- Fourth, we assembled an implementation team that worked with the client’s staff to build and test the solution, and implement the cutover.
Of course, all that cost a fortune, right?
Well, if you asked that question, then you don’t know Avid very well. The upfront costs were minimal, and the new call center solution, coupled with other standard Avid services, actually cut their monthly bill significantly.
As we do more and more of these application integration projects, we’re often surprised how difficult it is for customers to find someone who can do them and how easily they come together for us. Some of these projects can be done very quickly; others require special expertise to ensure that compliance requirements such as HIPAA and PCI are met. But all of them wind up making a BIG difference for our clients.
So if you weren’t aware that Avid could do this for your business, don’t feel bad. We’ve been pretty quiet about this.
