When the Kansas City Chiefs announced that this year’s charity game would be benefiting MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault), we knew we wanted to be a part of it. Not only is MOCSA a great cause, but they are also an Avid Communications customer.
MOCSA is an organization that exists to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. They do this by providing a Crisis Line & Advocacy, counseling, and education in schools and the community.
MOCSA has been a customer with Avid since 2015 when we originally set them up with a PRI on their original phone system. Since then, we’ve moved them to our hosted business VoIP phone platform, provide their internet, and manage their Wi-Fi. Providing both the phones and internet gives MOCSA the reliability they need when handling important matters, especially their crisis line.
Avid wanted to support MOCSA in another way, so we decided to be a sponsor for the game. Part of the sponsorship included tickets into our own suite for a pre-season game against the Vikings. We decided to use this as an opportunity to invite some of our agents out with us to show our appreciation for their partnership. The game gave us an opportunity to celebrate a fun night with a little bit of telecommunication and a lot of good football. And the best part? The Chiefs won!
