Customer Spotlight: North Star Academy

We recently added North Star Academy as a new customer! Right in time for the holidays. So we thought it would be appropriate to do the installation with a little holiday cheer. Mark Lindsay led the charge with a blue Santa hat and beard!
VoIP Phones
North Star Academy was previously being supported by another VoIP phone provider, but weren’t getting the support they needed.
We wanted to use their existing VoIP phones to make a big difference in their budget.
Pictures tell the story… look at the before and after pictures of their Polycom VVX 410 phones.
The first picture shows the phone as it was being used on campus. There were so many missed opportunities for efficiency by having the phone configured properly. The second picture shows the same phone after we had programmed it properly. And yes, the direct help line to Avid support is programmed on every phone we deploy.
Next Gen Firewall
Matthew Sutton installed a Fortinet Next Gen Firewall. We’ve talked a lot about the power of next generation firewalls in our blog over the past few months, especially when compared to traditional firewalls.

Bo Randall installed new access points, and we set up Guest and Corporate wireless networks for various levels of access and security.
It was a great project! North Star Academy now has a robust phone, firewall and WiFi installation. (And great local support to back it up!)

North Star Academy provides early behavioral intervention for children ages 2½ to 12 years with intellectual or developmental disabilities, including children with autism spectrum disorder. When caring for each child, they take into consideration their unique abilities, individual interests, and family’s priorities to develop an individualized curriculum intervention plan.
