Customer Spotlight: Hope Faith Ministries

We’ve been working with Hope Faith Ministries for a number of years. And we continue to help them upgrade their technology as older systems reach end-of-life or functionality stops meeting the needs of their team.
We started out working with them on their phone system.
Our first project was to move them to Avid’s business VoIP phone system. They’ve loved all the new features and especially like the fact that local help is a single button press away. (Every Avid phone has a pre-programmed button that connects to our Kansas City based support team.)
About a year ago, their needs outgrew the capabilities of their firewall.
We installed Avid’s Next Generation Firewall that addresses those needs and more. We also mapped their entire local network and rebuilt WiFi coverage throughout their facility using 10 wireless access points. (Many companies struggle with reliable WiFi coverage in their buildings. Hope Faith Ministries no longer has those kinds of concerns.)
IT Collab with Geeks for God
We often collaborate with the IT resource/company supporting the organizations we serve. In this case, Hope Faith Ministries uses Geeks for God. (Geeks for God is a ministry of the Church of the Resurrection, a large Methodist church based in Kansas City.) G4G was a great partner to collaborate with to meet Hope Faith Ministries’ needs. We also work closely with Cristi Smith, the Director of Operations for Hope Faith Ministries. She is a valuable partner because she is really helpful pushing things forward and knowledgeable about their existing systems.

Incorporated in 2004, Hope Faith Ministries, Inc. (HF) serves as an equipping day center for the homeless and poor in Kansas City’s urban core. First operating as the Neighbor to Neighbor program in the Westport neighborhood, the organization has expanded its services from meeting essential needs for food and clothing to also providing services and programs with an emphasis on moving clients into independence as their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs are met.
Hope Faith is the only collaborative, daytime outreach facility in Kansas City, Missouri providing direct services to individuals experiencing homelessness and at-risk individuals, families, and youth. Hope Faith provides for immediate needs such as food, showers, clothing, laundry service, case management, and other essential services. Hope Faith-Homeless Assistance Campus provides office space and operational support for on-site partners that provide medical, dental, vision, and mental health services as well as additional case management resources. The Day Center is in continuous collaboration with external partners and service providers to offer the best possible solutions to empower individuals and break the cycles of homelessness and poverty.
