Avid Team Building: Pedal Hopper Tour de Force!
By Taylor Cates, Director of Sales at Avid Communications
Recently, we turned on our OOO (Out of Office) and took an afternoon to enjoy spending some time together outside of work.
Ground Zero: Mission Taco
We started by hosting a lunch at Mission Taco for some of our newer teammates to get to know each other. Here is a link to the Mission Taco menu if you haven’t been there before… it’s definitely worth checking out! Mission Taco was started by two brothers, Jason and Adam Tilford, who wanted to bring their love of Cali street food to the Midwest.
Pedal Hopper Party Bike
Next, our sales team set off on a pedal adventure through the crossroads on a Pedal Hopper Party Bike. Pedal Hopper supplies the same party bikes that have been operating in Europe for 20+ years. It’s a fun group activity similar to a party bus, but the vehicle is entirely pedal-powered by you and all of your friends. It was a BLAST!
A Three Hour Tour
Thankfully, it was one of the cooler days we had that week! After a few blocks of pedaling, it was time for some refreshments. Casual Animal Brewing Company was our first stop, then it was on to Parlor for a cocktail. Torn Label is another crossroads favorite of our team. And we ended the day at City Barrel Brewery + Kitchen. It was good planning to have plenty of opportunities to get out of the heat for a few minutes. It was quite the tour and we really enjoyed our time together!
